Earlier in the year I took a trip to New York and visited Anthropologie for the first time. Oh, how I wish that store would open up in Australia! I spied these amazing hooks and decided to have a stab at making my own coat rack. I’d been looking for a suitable one for our home for a while, but struggled to find anything decent.
You can buy some of the same hooks here, here, here, and here (and yes, they do ship to Australia… hoorah). I visited my local Hardware store and found a suitable piece of timber in the scraps section. The kind Hardware man cut the timber to the desired length of 1.5 metres. I painted with a bottom coat and then two coats of Dulux Pale Grey.
I planned out the order of the hooks and measured out how far apart the hooks needed to be, drilled in the hooks and mounted on the wall.
And tooooda!!! Here it is. What do you think?
